Today was tough, the road was long and hard. Some stopped and sat down to gain energy, some were listening to music the whole of the way, even I needed to phone people at home to stay motivated. After a lot of “can you bring the car here” and “why can’t the car park be next to us”, we finally made it. We all feel a bit broken this evening with aching legs and feet. The best prize of the day for me was going to bed.
There were a few highlights amongst the difficulty. The views from the start of The Great Glen Way overlooking Inverness were spectacular. We played Boogies in the forest, found several amazing playgrounds, spotted about 20 frogs and a massive caterpillar, and got to play with the drone. Plus we had bangers and mash for tea!
This evening we have sadly had to say goodbye to Niall who has been absolutely fantastic as our support person for the last week. He will be sorely missed, but will be back in a few weeks/ few hundred miles time which we’re looking forward to.
